Plagiarists & Frauds: An introduction
The fact that publishers release books by plagiarists and frauds like Kaavya Viswanathan, James Frey (who was fatally spear-gunned in the neck in a 2003 draft of The (Something) Burlesque, because I was onto that idiot long ago), ‘J. T Leroy’, Norma Khouri et al – as well as simple incompetents far too numerous to mention – while two of my manuscripts, both of which are well-written, solidly constructed and wholly original, lie in the darkness of my desk drawer is infuriating and dispiriting to me. And it should be to you, too (unless you’re a plagiarist and/or fraud, which, given the lamentable trend in publishing lately, I would strongly recommend).
